Clinical Psychology

A Clinical Psychologist is a health care professional, uniquely trained to assess and understand the emotional problems that people experience. When individuals need help with personal difficulties it is important that they are able to trust the person they see. Clinical psychologists undergo an intense and lengthy training at an undergraduate and postgraduate level. This training enables clinical psychologists to help people to tackle the problems which they are having and tailor treatment to their needs.

Many Clinical Psychologists are members of the British Psychological Society and a professional “Code of Conduct” governs their work. Only properly qualified psychologists can use the letters C.Psychol after their name. These letters stand for "Chartered Psychologist" and you can check the credentials of any psychologist online at the British Psychological Society (BPS).
